all the withered walls, glazed in the ravaged aftermath of
crisp snow that we’ve never managed to grasp with our
dainty fingers. flakes, descending in an inexplicably –
mesmerizing manner, perishing into its origins (nostalgic

demise). it’s a pity, that all i’ve known about winter up to
this point in time, is a distant love story chiseled in third-
person hyperbole and complex imagery that i struggle to
decipher. i fantasize about apricot sunrises reducing all
the fluff anticipated by children, into mere puddles,

i fantasize about sun-sweetened tangerines pelting
along marbled aisles.
i fantasize about the seams of winter sun rays smudged
by seasonal change. i contemplate sun-bathed melodies

sung majestically in festive ambience. crowds gathered
together, stranded in shared lament for all the demised
snowmen, hollering carols, humming cherished ballads.
excess hope lingering in the atmosphere when there’re
listless things to feel dismayed about.
