A few bitter strawberries
and a handful of grapes
that always seem
too soft
Ruth is a young poetry and prose writer from Iowa City and has previously been published in Aster Lit, Ice Lolly Review, and the 2020 BTL Identity and Belonging Anthology. Off the page, she loves to write and read spoken word poetry with the local youth organization IC Speaks. Ruth loves to crochet, bake, listen to Hozier, and daydream about moving out to a cottage in the woods.
