Igniting Fire
Van Aguilar, Philippines
My wonder evades to the places I haven't left
My heart throbs for rhythm I haven't heard:
The symphony of life in notes to its extent.
My soul falls for music in zeal and passion —
The adrenaline: the spark and force in me
The enchantment: the means to drive and go
I saunter and think of the paths I have been:
The pathway leading to the nearest café,
Where I fathom the universe ahead of me
The pavements my feet had stepped on,
Where the sky is in my hands and my eyes
The rendezvous: the places where I found me
I write memoirs and relive all the memories,
For they are gone with the wind but not I
I write poetry in shallow words of emotions,
For I know I convey feelings and not vocabulary
I write and read to quench my thirst for edification,
For wisdom will always drive me to life's climax
My ears cannot hear but I can feel vibrations;
The allure and colors of life full of passion
This vibration touches and throbs my heart;
For this day I know I am more than capable
I cannot hear but I can feel the fire inside me;
Thriving and growing as days pass in full blossom
Van Aguilar loves to write poetry that fuels passion.
